LeBron & Drake are under some heat after being listed as defendants in a lawsuit against an upcoming documentary.
Drake, LeBron, & their respective media companies are sued for involvement in the improper acquisition of “intellectual property rights.”
The documentary responsible for the LeBron & Drake lawsuit is called ‘Black Ice’ & shows the segregation of Black Hockey players.
Billy Hunter, former head of the NBA Players Association is seeking profit & $10 MILLION in damages from LeBron & Drake.
Billy’s lawsuit alleges that he has exclusive rights to produce any form of media about the Colored Hockey League from 1895 to the 1930s.
Hunter’s attorney says while LeBron & Drake are internationally renowned they can’t steal someone’s intellectual property.
LeBron & Drake secretly cut a deal regarding the documentary with the author of the book ‘Black Ice’ without Bill’s permission.
LeBron & Drake’s team have not commented on the issue of ‘Black Ice’ which will be showcased on September 10th at the Toronto Film Festival.
