Brendan Fraser received a 6-minute long standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival 2022 for his movie The Whale & this is what Dwayne had to say about it.
Brendan, who is starring in ‘The Whale’ was also the lead for ‘The Mummy’ Franchise which was Dwayne Johnson’s debut film in 2001.
Johnson tweeted on Saturday about how it makes him happy to see the beautiful ovation for Brendan at Venice Film Festival 2022.
Fraser supported Dwayne coming into The Mummy Franchise which kick-started his Hollywood career and he feels grateful!
Johnson too, promised to root for Brendan’s comeback into the film industry with Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale. What a great friendship between them!
In an interview, Brendan talked fondly about Dwayne & recalled that they didn’t meet on set but he liked him at the premiere.
Brendan said he was excited about Dwayne’s first role as an actor and he is grateful to have known him during the beginning of his career.
It is heartwarming to see the same love and kindness reciprocated by Dwayne towards Brendan after all these years in the industry!
