40-year-old Tennis veteran Serena Williams announced her plans to retire from the sport earlier this month & this will be her last U.S. Open.

Williams won her first match of the tournament defeating Danka Kovinic, 6-3, 6-3 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.
