Divyendu Sharma, a.k.a Munna Bhaiya, is a perfect example of hard work and dedication. Since his graduation, he wanted to pursue his career in acting and establish himself as a mainstream Bollywood actor.

Divyendu always had a knack for being a character actor where he attracts and charms the audience with his unusual but dazzling personality.

He started his career in Bollywood with Aaja Nachle. And, gained fame and recognition as Nishant/Liquid in Pyaar Ka Punchnama for which he received the Screen Award for Best Male Debut.

The breakthrough movement in his career was the sensational web series Mirzapur which starred Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, and Rasika Dugal in the lead roles. He played the role of Munna Tripathi which made him a household name. He brought a new life in the villainous role, which fans very much enjoyed.

He has also starred in various successful movies such as Chashme Baddoor, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Divyendu will star in the most awaited Indian film of the year, Brahmastra.

1. In 2015, Divyendu, in an interview was asked about his views on the AIB Knockout Roast controversy, to which he commented that he did not have any issues with the roast. The main reason for the roast getting criticized is the generation gap because some people find it offensive and below the belt.

2. After the release of the Mirzapur Season 2 trailer; on Twitter #BoycottMirzapur2 started trending. When Divyendu was asked in an interview about his views regarding this to which he replied that the fan following of Mirzapur is large, it doesn’t affect them in any way. 

He further mentioned that the trolls should not speak about the boycott out in the open as they may get beaten up by the Mirzapur fans.
